Meet Our Instructors

Annie Sims - Lead Instructor

ByPatricia Hogue

Annie Annie Sims has been with TROT since 2005. When her children were grown, she came to volunteer with us to work with the horses and shortly became our Volunteer Coordinator. Since then, she has become a NARHA certified therapeutic riding instructor and now serves as our Head Instructor. The link between horses and kids has proven to be a strong influence in her day-to-day life. Annie has always been involved with horses in one form or another, holds a Nevada state championship in Pole Bending, went on to be active in High School Rodeo, then later became involved in the Las Vegas Cutting Horse Association as their official Videographer, a competitor and a board member with them. Animals have always played an important role in her life, whether professionally as a pet shop manager, a Vet Tech for five years, or at home with her dogs and horses. Annie has a background in Office Management and is currently a member of NARHA, CHA, is the Head Instructor for Happy Trails School of Horsemanship and serves as an advisor to the board of TROT.
